Pennlyn Productions was founded to create, develop, and acquire intelligent, impactful, and inspiring entertainment content.

In a world saturated with comic book super hero zombie vampires, there is a need, a demand, and a market for deeper, richer, more nuanced stories.

We are at an exciting dawn of a new entertainment paradigm with the emergence of Netflix, Amazon, Video on Demand, etc.

Feature Films and TV are now merging together in quality, diversity, and opportunity.

International markets and financing are also allowing important stories to finally be told.

Previously underserved audiences – who are craving more meaningful content – can now find what they are looking for when and where they want it.

Pennlyn aims to be on the leading edge of this content revolution by developing and creating meaningful, but also marketable content for all platforms.

Pennlyn was created by screenwriter, producer, & development executive, Michael Gozzard. Michael is the screenwriter of the Lionsgate Studios’ movie PRIDE staring Oscar nominated actor Terrence Howard (CRASH, IRON MAN) and the late Emmy winning actor Bernie Mac (OCEANS ELEVEN). PRIDE was nominated for an ESPN Espy Award for “Best Sports Movie” in 2007.

Michael also discovered, developed, and co-produced the Dimension Films and Freestyle Releasing horror / thriller franchise THE COLLECTOR. The sequel, THE COLLECTION 3-D, was released in 2012.

Before becoming a professional screenwriter, Michael was Vice President of Development for Fortress Features and Story Editor for Oscar winning actor, Morgan Freeman’s (THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, MILLION DOLLAR BABY) production company.
